This is an example of a customer this month that chose to do concrete approaches and tie them back into the pre-poured scale. The other two photos are of gravel approaches. We recommend the concrete approaches are in a single plain and usually 30ft. In the case of gravel, we recommend 80ft (each side) or twice the length of the longest truck. The key is to ensure that when the vehicle steer axle is on the scale that the drive axles are on the approach.
